I have always believed, when it came to the anatomy of something without legs, the lower half would always be twice the length and size of the upper half. This balances out the lack of legs and helps out the movement. It provides the right amount of muscle to push the being forward (or whichever direction). With mermaids, I do believe your Prince Jonas sort of... Falls short of this. His tail is much too small, and thin, to be useful. His torso (head included) is also much too "tall" for the proportional views between body and tail end.

Originality, you are half-and-half. Merfolk are a very (and please don't be offended at this) overused subspecies. However; I do love your OC's so I can easily overlook this <3

Your technique, per usual, is amazing. I cannot say much being that I'm not exactly Picasso or know a whole lot about art myself. His colours are beautifully well done, albeit the red stone clashes with the magenta of his tail. Thankfully they're far enough apart not to be too distracting of each other.

As for the positives, you've made yet another interesting and technical OC. I hope you don't mind my word in this...
